On Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Pirates called up right-handed pitcher Paul Skenes for a start in Saturday's game against the Chicago Cubs.

His girlfriend, LSU gymnast and influencer Olivia Dunne, has been hyping up the new Pirates pitcher ever since.

However, the couple learned about the life-changing event after a restful nap.

Following the announcement, Dunne -- who has over 8 million followers on TikTok -- posted a video of the couple finding out Skenes would be getting called up.

The TikTok video has garnered over 225,000 likes and 1.8 million views. Skenes, 21, was called up after a remarkable run in Triple-A, where he struck out 45 batters and only allowed three runs in 27⅓ innings.

The LSU Tigers standout was the No. 1 pick in the 2023 MLB draft by the Pirates and signed for $9.2 million.

Skenes had a phenomenal career at LSU. In his junior season, he struck out 209 hitters in 122⅔ innings and only walked 20. He went 13-2 with a 1.69 ERA.
